Cannot print or convert some documents or pictures to PDF format.I have Adobe Acrobat XI Standard and Adobe Acrobat Distiller XI.

I cannot print or convert some documents or pictures to PDF format anymore. I used to be able to do this but not sure what has changed.  Can someone tell me how to fix this?  I have Adobe Acrobat XI Standard and Adobe Acrobat Distiller XI and Acrobat Reader DC.

Please try to start Acrobat and use Create from the file menu. The popup to Convert should work. Utmost have broken. The pop up to open with Reader can't work because Reader can't open a JPEG, but Windows offers anyway.

Weird typo: for utmost read "the popup to convert to PDF may have broken". Sorry.

Hi Fatimab89114824,

As mentioned above, that you have not been able to "Print" or  do "Conversion" of document using Acrobat XI Std.

Could you also confirm what exactly happening when you are trying to print the document? Does it gives any kind of error message or when you convert the file any error message appears on the screen? Please share.

Good morning Akanchha,

Here is some information:

1. Windows 7 is my operating system

2. I have the following 3 ADOBE products: 

  • Acrobat Reader DC
  • Adobe Scrobat XI Standard
  • Adobe Acrobat Distiller XI.

3. When I try to print a JPEG IMAGE to the Adobe PDF Printer nothing happens

4. When I try to convert a JPEG IMAGE to an Adobe PDF file I get a blank (it creates a file but it is a blank grey document).

5. When I try to convert a PNG IMAGE to an Adobe PDF file I get the following error message:

"Adobe Reader could not open 'coi(1).PNG' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachement and wasn't correctly decoded)."

Step 3: print from what app?

Step 4: convert how?

Step 5: how are you trying to convert (since what you actually seem to be doing is trying to open a PNG in Reader)?
