I try to install the DC after signing up the trial. But the system keep saying my Powerpoint is running and dont allow me to install, I have done all necessary steps to remove the PPT --

1. Unpin it from taskbar

2. Close all apps related to it

I notice when my PC is on, the powerpoint will automatically run despite i close the app.

Please advise.

Hi EHPMEN,

You can disable any app to stop launching on startup by following below steps:

  • Go to System Preferences
  • Users & Groups > Select User account for which you want to disable
  • Select Login Items tab in right side section
  • Now remove the app you dont want to be launched on login

Now Why acrobat didn't install due to powerpoint ?

There is a powerpoint addin of acrobat which registers with powerpoint during installation, so if you have launched powerpoint even in background or any powerpoint process is running, acrobat will be stuck. To close any application/process, you can make use of Activity Monitor and quit all the associated process (for all processes go to view on top in activity monitor and select all processes). Now you can try installing, acrobat should install successfully.

Let us know if you still face any issue.

Yes I did try. Now I manage to install cost I delete the Office & reinstall it again.

May I know whether Adobe can send PDF with date expiry?

Thanks!

No, no date expiry. Adobe's DRM software needs a full time server and costs 5-6 figures per year.

Do you try Task Manager to close PowerPoint ?
