Catalina update

Having updated my MAC to Catalina, I downloaded Acrobat DC as instructed. When I click to instal the new software, it starts installing and when it gets to 12.5% it stalls and nothing further happens. I have restarted the process 6 times now with the same result. Any suggestions?

I just had an incredibly frustrating chat with Adobe about my Acrobat Pro DC subscription and compatibility with Catalina. The first Adobe rep said all I had to do was "update" my Acrobat Pro DC. When I said I didn't know how to do that, she sent me to another rep. That person went round and round, and then FINALLY told me Adobe engineers hadn't figured out yet if it works with Catalina. "If you are Mojave it won't be any problem but I am not sure about Catalina our engineers are still working on it they haven't tested the application yet." HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? Then he actually sent me a link to the "feature request form" for Adobe. My god. This update for Mac OS has been in the works for a VERY long time. Every other application I have is compatible with 64-bit. An earlier official post from someone at Adobe said there would be an update when Catalina is actually released. I guess that has not happened. The chat person ended up saying "I would recommend you to use Mojave till the issue iwth Mac version 10.15 is fixed, we will notify you once fixed." Honestly, that should have been the answer RIGHT OUT OF THE GATE. The communication has been horrible, and I can't even find good information on the Adobe website. I am now going to research alternatives to Adobe.

I suggest rolling back until time has passed and Adobe has released any fixes needed. But, thank you for taking the bullet for us and finding the problems with a new system, so we won't have to.

    Thanks Amal,

Still only gets to the 12.5% mark when installing and then stays there without any further movement. This is really frustrating

    Hi Lenafrica,

    [Edited Response]

We are sorry for the trouble. As described above, you have updates the OS to Catalina and experiencing issues with Acrobat DC, correct?

Please refer to the help article https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/known-issues-macos-1015-catalina.html and see if that helps
