Certain text not appearing in DC PRo

I opened a set a construction drawings on Adobe Pro DC. Certain text on certain drawings are not appearing. I can highlight them, but they don't show. I checked the font and I believe I have the proper font installed. 

 

A collegue of mine can open the same set and the font appears on her computer. 

 

Any help would be great!!

We are sorry for the trouble. as described above the certain text of the PDF file is not getting displayed.

 

What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC installed? To check the version of the application please use the help article here (https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product-version.html)
Make sure you have the latest version 19.21.20061 of the Adobe Acrobat DC. Go to Help > Check for Updates.

 

You may also, refer to a similar discussion here (https://answers.acrobatusers.com/when-opening-a-document-the-font-does-not-display-correctly-q190467.aspx) and see if that works.

Amal,

 

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

 

Version: 2019.021.20061

 

I have tried pre-flight. I have installed all the fonts on my colllegues computer (she can open the file and see everything normally). Neither of these work.

Hi Dion,

 

Thanks for sharing the information. Please try the following preference settings and see if that helps. 

 

Go to Adobe Acrobat DC (Mac), Edit (Windows) > Preferences > Page Display > Select 'Use local fonts' Under Rendering > Click OK and restart the application.

 

If you are the author or creator of the PDF file try recreating it and make sure to embed all the fonts.

 

If it still doesn't work, please share the file with us for testing via private message. Click on the message icon on the top right corner of the screen to start the private message.
