change attachment icon in comments

I have a document in which I want to attach a file.  I go to Tools -> Comment -> Attach File.  I've selected the file that I want to add, then I'm given the choice of icons that I want to represent that file on the document.  THIS is my question.  The Graph, Paperclip, Attachment, or Tag icons don't really appeal to me - I would like a different icon.  How do I do that?

Thanks,

There are two ways to attach a file - as an annotation with one of these icons, and “hidden” on the “Attachment” pane. You can then create a button with the icon you want, which would run some JavaScript to open the attached file. This is not as straightforward as using the canned icons, but it’s an option.

    Hi @pdellal ,

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out. We are sorry for the trouble.

Acrobat only offers those four built-in icon choices (Graph, Paperclip, Attachment, and Tag) for file attachment comments. There isn't a way to add a custom icon or choose from a wider icon set for this specific comment type.

You may also submit this as a feature request, directly with our development team https://adobe.ly/4qoIXbT for their consideration and future implementation.

    Hope this information will help
