Change background image, but retain comments

Hi folks,

I am new to the forum and cannot find an answer to this question.

My process is as follows;

Each day I create a .jpg and insert this into an Adobe pdf file as a new page. Then I annotate the page with comments.

98% of  image within today's .jpg is part of the image for tomorrows .jpg. So, there will only be a slight, but important, addition to yesterday's image. Then I have to either duplicate the comments from yesterday or begin again.

What I would like to do is just update yesterday's pdf page with a new background (image) and retain my previously inserted comments which can be seen on top of the new background.

I've tried to just insert the new image as an image, but it overlays on top of current comments.

If someone has a way of doing this I would be VERY grateful.

Thanks,

Peter

Sure, it's easily done. Open the Pages panel on the left, right-click the page and select Replace Pages. Then select the JPEG image you're done! It will be inserted instead of the current page, while keeping all the existing comments in tact. Note that the location of the comments might have to be adjusted, if the layout of the new page is not the same as the old one, but you won't need to create them all from scratch, at least.

No, not if you use this tool. As I said, you'll need to adjust the positions of the comments manually if they no longer fit.
