Can you be a bit more precise as to what it is you want the font color chaged?  A text box?  Text comment?  If it's the body text of a document you converted to PDF, that is defined and converted from the source document.  If it's the text in a comment, you can set its properties to be the default (right click, to see these options):

It is text in a text box.  When I've downloaded an invoice or bill from a vendor and want to make a notation the only way I've found to do this with Adobe DC is to edit pdf then select text box.  I found how to change font and size defaults, but so far haven't been able to change default color also.  It always comes up as black.

Thanks

I have not seen the error messsage in a week or so.  Apparently one of the suggested solutions I've tried finally took.

Thanks for all the suggestions and follow-up.
