Question

"change page size" in Crop not taking in Acrobat 9

I have an 8.5 x 11 document, with exhibit tabs throughout. These are pages with, say, "Exhibit A" in the lower right corner.

My printer (Brother HL-L5200DW) is capable of printing from different trays depending on the size of PDF page being printed.

I would like to change the page size of the tab pages only to, say, 8.5 x 11.5 so that my printer will pull paper from a tray with longer yellow paper.

No matter how I invoke Crop|change page size, after hit OK, there is no change to the page size.

There is no security on the document.

Any suggestions?

Cropping a page is not the same as changing the page's size.

To do the latter you would need to print the page to a new file, or use a script, like this one I've developed:

Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Acrobat -- Scale PDF Pages

Acrobat Pro DC has a built-in command to do it, under the Preflight tool, by the way.
