Hi, have a pdf file that I need to change the title text color and title rectangular shape from purple to blue.  I am able to change the text color easily.  But how do I change the color of the shape?  Without going to Illustrator?  TIA.

There's no direct way of doing that in Acrobat. It's really not meant to be used as an editor of the static contents of PDF files, despite what the marketing dept. of Adobe would like you think... You should either use an external editor, or (better yet) edit the original file used to make the PDF, then create a new file from it.

Thought so, just hope there was a way.  client sent the file, they had no originals.  I had to open each page in AI to edit.  the only thing I need to watch out for are text messed up.
