changing email address on subscribed account

I cancelled a trial account which had an email i want to use on my paid subscription account particullarly when sending fill/sign documents.   after cancelling the trial account successfully, i tried to change the email on my subscribed account using the email on the cancelled trial account and it said email already taken.  does it just take some time for it to be available or is it locked forever?  feedback appreciated.

The email address that you used once would need 27-days for complete removal from our database.
