Question

Changing message after you've started to prefill a document for e-signature.

I have a template set up to use for requesting e-signatures. Once I’ve clicked to “Use Template” I know how to use the “Add Message” feature and change the name of the document. However, if I forget to do that first and click “Prefill” and start prefilling the fields, is there a way to go back and change the message that will be sent to the recipient? I’m not finding a way to go back and edit that information.

I’m using Adobe Acrobat on my web browser to complete this task.

    Hi @allied86 ,

I seems like you are using Acrobat Online Services.

If so,  what happens if instead of running Acrobat service directly in your web browser, you use the Acrobat extension? (I haven’t tested this, just curious and wondering if it would make any difference).

However, you may have better chances of achieving that by employing Adobe Sign. Otherwise, looks like a great feature request to me:

There are other things that can be done, but probably the simplest would be to use the File>Close menu command to close the errant PDF file, then click he No button in the Save Changes redundant command box to dispose of it.

As long as it hasn’t been saved, no file will be saved from the PDF document you’ve been working on, and you can return to the template and start again with nothing lost but a little bit of time.

    Hope this helps,

    Randy

Thanks. I was hoping to be able to continue without starting over on my prefill blanks that I’d already worked on, but I guess if that’s what I have to do.
