Hello

using acrobat PRO

having problems Saving a  PDF when the background is changed to white, but changes are NOT saved

only option is save as, when PDF reopened in a browser the background is still black. What to migrate the PDF with a white background to IBooks.

the PDF is the Lego instructions for ghostbusters fire house, where all the pages have a black background, which makes it difficult to read..

so I can go to EDIT, Prefernces, accesability,  hangs the background to white, but the changes aren't saved with the saved file.

need some help please

thanks

You need to actually change the background to white in InDesign or whatever program you're using to create the file. You'll need to export two versions: one with the black background (for print) and one with the white background (for on screen viewing).

Don't understand, opened the PDF in acrobat PRO which has an option to change background colour, which Works, why can. Simply save it that way ?

thanks

That feature in Acrobat doesn't actually change the file. It's to help make files easier for visually imparied people to read. So they can take any PDF, apply that setting, and read it easier. It has nothing to do with actually changing the background color to white all the time. It's just a Preference, for an indivdual computer. Notice how it's in the Preferences dialog box, not athe Document Properties dialog box.

You need to edit the background in InDesign to get it to display the way you want it to in a browser.

That’s working right. The accessibility preferences affect all files, are for people with difficulty reading files, are not a way for you to edit file backgrounds.
