Character encoding error when using Benghali language fonts and the composers

I am trying to create a document in Benghali that needs to be accessible

When recieving the translation, I copy into indesign and export the PDF as a paragraph-
using the standard composer it corruupts the formatting of the letters (in in design) however it passes accessibility in the PDF.

When i use the Adobe world ready composer it corrects the formatting issue in indesign but when it fails character encoding in the PDF

Ive tried this with 4 fonts  Noto Sans Benghali, Adobe Benghali, Myriad Benghali and Tiro Bangla all have the same issues and am really stuck with a deadline looming

Any Suggestions?

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out, and wait for more input from experts.

  • For documents where visual fidelity of Bengali text is critical (e.g., print or visual review), use World-Ready Composer.

  • For documents where accessibility compliance is a priority, you may need to manually adjust the tagged structure and encoding in Acrobat Pro after export. Tools like the Tags pane, TouchUp Reading Order, and Edit PDF tags can help correct or supplement the encoding.

  • As a long-term approach, we recommend submitting feedback via the InDesign UserVoice platform, as Adobe continues to refine how World-Ready Composer and accessibility features work together.

We recognize how important proper script rendering and accessibility compliance are, and we’re here to support you with any further steps in Acrobat or InDesign so that you can meet your deadline.
