Chat history in Adobe Acrobat AI Assistant cannot be restored

Hi all,

 

I have the following problem. I have used the AI Assistant in Adobe Acrobat for several documents and generated a longer chat history. Now I have switched to another laptop and can no longer restore the chat histories, although I have saved the document again in the cloud. The help function states that you can access the conversation histories across sessions and the document opens as before and contains the complete chat history and all associated follow-up questions. However, this is not the case for me. So how can I access the chat history again?

    Hi,

    Chat history for files is maintained but it is local to machine, if you switch machines, like in your case you switched to another laptop, it will not be visible there. You will have to move to the machine where you created chat history, it should be accessible there.

    Same issue here, I've analyzed 45 grant applications on my desktop and used AI for questions and answers. Once done I saved the file (.PDF) and when I open it on my desktop all the questions and answers populate. I now have a two day meeting to go over the grants and when I transfer the saved PDF file to my laptop, the main file opens but the questions and answers don't populate. There has to be a way without having to go back to each and then copying the chat to a completely new file and open seperately?

    I'm not as worried that the generative summary doesn't transfer because that is quick to regenerate it when I open the document but the questions were all my notes.

    Where's the answer ?  How do I retrieve my chat log?
