checkbox for printing in gray doesn't work

If I want to print something in gray, the checkbox doesn't work.
It doesn't respond when I tick it, it always prints in color.

Is this a fault of adobe or the printer? Or do I have to change something in my options?
On my older version of adobe (2015) it worked perfect with the same printer.

I know I can print in grayscales if I click to advanced settings, but it would be easy if the checkbox worked.
