Collating Measurement Comments

Hi,

 

I've just installed Adobe Acrobat Pro so feeling my way around. I've got a set of Architects drawings which i've added my own measurements (both linear and area measurements), which appear in the comments area - how can I collate these together and export to an Excel spreadhseet or .csv file - I did somehow manage to do it half way through completing my measurement, didnt get what was expected, so carried on completing my take off of areas, then went to do the same process when completed but couldnt find the option to export to .csv.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@_CharlieP_ use the Comments List and its export function. Open the Comments List panel (Tools - Share & Review - Comment). 

 

Filter it to show only your measurement comments, and then look for the "Options" menu (usually a three-dot icon) within the Comments List panel. From there, you should find the "Export All to Data File" option, which allows you to save your comments as a CSV. If you're not seeing this option, ensure all measurement comments are selected or visible in the list. Sometimes filtering or selecting only certain types of comments can hide the export option

Hi @creative explorer thanks for taking the time to reply, there must be something really simple that i'm doing wrong or isn't quite set up correctly for me.

 

I've selected the measurements, gone to Export All, but the only options for output are *.fdf or *.xfdf.

 

If you have any suggestions they would be much appreciated.

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!

 

i don't think there would be a direct way of exporting comments to a CSV file.

 

However, what I would suggest here, is to export the PDF file along with the comments to a Word file, then go ahead and export the comments to a CSV file using Word.

The option should be available in the Review Ribbon and Comment Panel.
