Combine files, context menu

I’m having an issue when trying to combine files using the context menu shortcut. I’m on Windows 11, and when I attempt to combine files through the context menu, it only opens the program without showing anything. I’ve already tried repairing the installation, uninstalled and reinstalled the program, and the PDFs are not corrupted. Is there any solution? I’m using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

Utilizo o Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

Hello @Jovial_Solace5F93

I hope you are doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.

Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 25.001.20630, Planned update, Aug 18, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again.

You can manually combine files from within Acrobat:

Open Acrobat.
Go to All Tools > Combine Files.
Add your files and click Combine.
This ensures the functionality works even if the context menu fails.

Check File Size Limits.

Go to Menu > Preferences > Documents.
Uncheck “Save As optimizes for Fast Web View”.
Try combining again.

Windows 11 uses a simplified context menu, and some Acrobat shortcuts don’t function as expected. You may need to click Show more options (Shift + right-click) to access the classic context menu where Acrobat’s “Combine” should work properly.

Let us know how it goes.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
