Combining Files in Acrobat Pro DC

In the past few days Acrobat has stopped removing files after I've finished "Combining" and saving my files.  So when I next go back in to combine a batch of new files, it has kept the old files and already has them in the added group, so I have to manually delete these.  This has never been the case.  Any idea how to fix this?
