I am having an issue combining PDF documents, that exist fine on their own. When the combine tool is used the pages contain square boxes. How can this be resolved?

The files cannot be shared in this case. The pdf files are fine up until combining. I don't agree that there is any corruption. Is there any other suggestion you can make?

Without seeing the files, no.

Hello Kimb,

We're sorry for the trouble you had while combining the PDF files. Are you getting the square box when you are in the Combine Files tool section or after combining the PDF files?

Is it possible to post a screenshot where you get the square box? To post a screenshot, take help from the article https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-7043#jive_content_id_How_do_I_attach_a_screenshot

Have you tried combining other PDF files and checked?

Is it a Mac or Windows machine and what is the version of the OS?

What is the dot version of Acrobat installed? To identify refer to Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Make sure that you have the latest version of Acrobat installed? Check for any pending updates of Acrobat from help>check for updates, reboot the machine after updating Acrobat.

Let us know how it goes and share your observation.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

This is happening after running the combine tool and it is not happening with every test.

This is a windows machine (windows 7 workstation and also windows server 2016).

The version of Adobe is Acrobat 2017.011.30099 and there were no pending updates.
