Combining PDFs increases the file size

I combine PDFs regularly and recently as I combine them they've started quadrupling in size. Combining a few 1-2MB files that used to end up in the 3-5MB range combined now ends up in the 10-20MB range.

Thanks for reporting the issue and apologies for inconvenience caused. Can you share the OS and Acrobat version for further investigation ? Also , please share the workflow that you are following to combine the PDFs.

After combining them try using the Save As command and saving the file under a new name. That forces an optimization of the file and can dramatically decrease its size.
