Comments cause PDF to open slow and freeze

Question

Hello, My job requires me to make comments to PDF files. Over time, my coworkers and I will keep adding comments to several PDF files, making anywhere from 400 comments to 1,500 comments. This causes the PDF files to open very slowly over time, taking up to 40 minutes per file. The comment feature is very important to our job so disabling the comments is not an option. We've tried compressing the files and that does little to help with the speed. Thank you for the help in advance.

Not much we can do about it... But you can try to split the files into smaller sections, and merge them when you're done adding all of these comments.
