Comments - Printing efficiently

Is there any way to create a comment document that does not separate every page?  Most pages of my work have only one or two comments.  I would like to print all the comments on as few pages as possible . . .

If you select the "Comments Only" option in the dialog shown in the first answer, then you will only get a list of comments. This option provides the most compact report.

The Action mentioned by Dimitri does exactly the same report, but for multiple document at the same time.

There is an Action for Acrobat XI at the old Actions Exchange at www.acrobatusers.com that creates a summary report of all comments with the page numbers they are on. You can find it at-

https://acrobatusers.com/actions-exchange

scroll down to Create Comment Summary.  Screenshots of details and the result is at-

https://acrobatusers.com/assets/uploads/actions/Create_Comment_Summary.pdf

You don't say what version of Acrobat you have- there is a version of that Action for both Acrobat X and XI at the Exchange, but it could be modified to work in DC.  If you are interested in modifications my company does that kind of work(we created those Actions).

Hope this helps,

Dimitri

Hi Coryc,

As you are trying to print comments on as few pages as possible, you may choose the layout option " Document and comments with connector lines on single pages" in the Create Comment Summary window.

In the comments pane at right, click on three dots and select "Create Comment Summary".

There is no other option that can reduce the number of pages for the comments in the document.

If you are just printing the comments in the document, you may try a workaround to reduce the number of pages. You can try printing the comments for multiple PDF pages on a single page.

In the print window, go to "Multiple" tab and add a number in the Pages per sheet field.

Check if that works for you.

Let us know if you have any questions.
