Question

compare crashing

macOS Tahoe
Adobe Acrobat Pro 2026.001.21691

I cannot review a compare without Acrobat immediately crashing. I have used the Adobe Acrobat Cleaner Tool, which made the program work once. After that, it started crashing while reviewing compares again.

In further detail, Acrobat will perform a compare between two documents, but as soon as I start to scroll or click a comment in the compare, the program freezes and crashes. I have reported each crash.

Would you be able to look into this? Thank you!

Edit: The PDFs used are company PDFs that are generated from InDesign version 21.4.1.

    Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out and sharing the detailed information. We are sorry for the trouble you are experiencing.

Please share a small video recording of the steps you are taking and the issue as it occurs so we can take it further with our development team. Also, share the Acrobat diagnostic logs as described here https://adobe.ly/4gDRYuK to help our development team isolate the issue for the quick fix.

    Hi there,

Would you mind sharing the name of the log file so we can identify it at our end? Or you can upload the file to any cloud storage > create a link, and share that link with us.

Once we have this information, we can escalate this issue to our development team for further investigation.
