Compare Documents Functionality in Acrobat Pro DC Classic vs Acrobat 2017

I’m aware that there are differences in the way Compare Documents works in Acrobat Pro DC Classic and Acrobat 2017, outlined here:

Compare two versions of a PDF file in Adobe Acrobat

In Acrobat Pro Classic, it is possible to compare two versions of a document while also viewing the comments pane for both documents. This allows you to check whether comments on the old document have been actioned newer revision, and make additional comments on the new document accordingly. This is part of my daily workflow and essential functionality.

Has this functionality been removed in Acrobat 2017? I have not been able to find a way of displaying comments saved in the old file. It only seems possible to view the comparison report in a single right-hand pane. I would appreciate your response.

No. This function is only available in the Pro version. If you're seeing a message saying you can do it in your version it's wrong.

Hi there. I am using Adobe Acrobat Standard 2017. When the program starts up, it shows one of the featured functions is to compare the differences between two documents. However, when I click on the Tools, the Compare Document function is not listed there.

Can my version of Adobe Acrobat compare different versions of the file? That will be really helpful to my work.
