Compare two documents - hangs when trying to save report

I need to use compare two documents (always PDFs) frequently.  I can get the comparison of the PDFs fine but when it comes to saving the report, as I need to send to others, it just gives me the spinning wheel of doom and then I have to force quit. I am using Continuous Release Acrobat 2022.003.20281 on a Macbook Pro M1 Max, Ventura 13.4 - my creative cloud shows no update required. Any ideas as it is very frustrating I have sent reports previously but never heard anything back.

Are you saving to a local resource or a network resource?

Both PDF's are on desktop and trying to save to desktop too. Report has different name to original files too. I'm using Acrobat application too and not web version.
