Comparing PDF files in Acrobat Pro DC

I need to compare an old version of a PDF file to a newer version.  I need to do it in a specific format: underline inserted text and strikethrough deleted text.  The Compare Tool in Acrobat Pro DC does not appear to have any settings to allow this comparison format.  Is there a setting for this?  If not, is there a plug-in or a stand-alone app that will do this?  Thanks.

Hi Mark,

The custom format which you requested is not available in the Comparison of the PDF files.

The options available are mentioned in the help document: Compare two versions of a PDF file in Adobe Acrobat

Hi,

The feature described (strikethroughs and underlining) desparately needs to be reinstituted.

The "new" compare format is incredibly cumbersome.

Like the user above, I desperately need my compares to display with underlining and strikethroughs.

Hi Mark,

As I understand from the description above, you want to compare two PDF files with a  specific format, Is that correct?

Please go through the following link: Compare two versions of a PDF file in Adobe Acrobat

Hope this helps.

I’ve been doing comparisons using the Compare Tool in Acrobat Pro DC.  I have to submit comparisons to state regulators, and some are rejecting the format that Acrobat uses.  They want a very simple format: strikethrough for deleted text from the original version of the document, and underline for inserted text in the revised version.  This is the same format state governments use when publishing changes to previously approved statutes.  I know I can manually do strikethroughs and underline, but many times I’m dealing with a large number of multi-page documents.

Do you know of any plug-ins or separate applications that will do this format of comparison with PDF files?  Thanks.
