Is there way to compress PDFs AFTER you create them?

Is there a way to set compression as default?

 

Some of these files are too large.

i have a pdf file and I want to convert it in word file. is it possible?

You may export the PDF to Word online using the link https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/acrobat/export-pdf/ and see if that helps.

In Acrobat Pro you can use the PDF Optimizer.
