Consistently get Error "Acrobat has encountered a problem. Some features may not work as expected."

On my desktop Adobe Pro app, I get this popup error on almost every Tool I click on: ""Acrobat has encountered a problem. Some features may not work as expected." With most tools, such as "Insert Text" or "Edit Pdf", I click OK and it proceeds to allow me to use the tool without issue. (When I say "without issue," I mean that the tool seems to work; my one caveat is that nothing appears in the Menu/Edit toolbar on the left hand side.)

So most tools work regardless of the error popping up. However, the "Redact" tool does not. It allows me to select text and redact it, but it does not allow me to Apply the redactions. When I try, the whole screen goes dark gray with a ghost image of the adobe document in the background, and a plain white box in the center of my screen similar to an error window popping up but without any words or message in it. I can't click on anything, but it disappears when I hit my escape button, having not applied the redactions.

I have checked for updates and installed them.

I have rebooted.

I have repaired installation.

I have also tried to complete the same action using the web/online adobe, but I learned that the redaction feature is only available on the desktop app.

I'm at a loss.

I work in a government office, and redaction is imperative for processing FOIA requests. Please help!

I was having the same issue and uninstall didn't work but interestingly, switching to an incognito window of Google Chrome did the trick!

I am having the same issue. Tried the AcroCleaner suggestion. Did not work. The problem persists. I am using a Mac with Sequioa OS. But the problem started out of the blue, without an update or something similar.
