Content Prep screen never finishes preparing

Got a new iMac and moved everything over to new box. Every time I open Acrobat file this annoying screen comes up and won't go away. Covers up the PDF I'm trying to edit or view. I have to manually hit cancel button to get rid of it. Is there a setting in prefs to make this not even come up?

I checked prefs on the mac and it already has "Only read the currently visible pages" by default.

Could you try following steps:

1- Select Edit > Preferences > Accessibility

2. Under Other Accesibility Options, uncheck Enable assistive technology support.

3. Select Ok > relaunch Acrobat and check.

It started to do this again. In general, Acrobat is abysmal. I get this screen every time I open a PDF. If I do a page resize like command-0, I get the beach ball for 10-25 seconds. In general, Acrobat is very, very slow.
