Hi

You can convert a PDF to Grayscale in Print Production > Preflight > Convert Colors category > Convert to Grayscale, but that’s not what you want.

What is it that you want pure black and white? That’s a little unusual. Is it an image or a document?

If you have Photoshop you could possibly export the image or page and open in in Photoshop, then add a Threshold Adjustment layer. Let me know if you need more details on how that works.

I’ll move this to its own thread. Sorry we lost the other one!

These are documents. I did read that black and white is mostly needed for

legal documents.

Most of the stuff I have scanned now are old school papers, school

financial aid papers, and old receipts. I used color for most of these

since there is some color in them.

Is there any real reason I would need black and white? or is color good for

this stuff?

and if I need black and white is there a quick way to do this to a bunch of

PDFs in photoshop?

There's no built-in color conversion profile that does that.
