Convert Spot colors to Process colors(CMYK)

I have converted few PDFs by Distiller XI.

But those PDFs contains Spot Color which i don't want in PDF.

I can convert those Spot colors to Process colors after opening the PDF in Acrobat reader by below options:-

1) Ink Management

2) Preflight

But what i want is, without opening PDFs those spot colors should get convert to process colors by any utility or something.

By unix or windows service or any tool to which we only provide pdf and it will give us final pdf only with process colors.

If there is any way then please help.

The only method of doing this with any product from Adobe is as you indicated, opening up the PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Pro.

There are no other means of doing this with Adobe products.
