What you're describing is actually a pretty common situation when Creative Cloud is installed on two PCs but they're running different versions of Acrobat or have different settings. Let's work through it step by step:

Check which version of Acrobat is on the laptop

1. Open Acrobat on the laptop.

2. Go to Help > About Adobe Acrobat.

3. Note down the version number and compare it to the one on your desktop PC.

If the versions are different, that would explain why the conversion options don't match.

Update Acrobat on the laptop
Open the Acrobat Application > Help > Check for updates and reboot the device once . The latest version  26.001.21691 Planned update, Jun 25, 2026 

Make sure you're using the right conversion tool

There are actually two ways to convert PDF to JPG in Acrobat, and they don't offer the same options:

• Export PDF (Menu > Export a PDF > Image > JPEG) this is the full-featured path and lets you control quality, resolution, and color settings.

Check your conversion settings

When exporting to JPEG from Acrobat, click the Settings button before saving. From there you can set:

• Image quality > Maximum

• Resolution > 300 ppi for high quality output
