When I copy/paste pdf text to docx, it turns into italics.

Hi, consider opening the pdf in Word - current versions of MS Word can File > Open a pdf

or export from Acrobat your pdf to docx File> Export to > Microsoft Word

I edit newspaper pages that come in PDF form; I copy and paste paragraphs where changes need to be made and send them to the layout designer to make changes to the copy that goes for print.
