Dear Community,

i´ve recently encouterded a weird problem while copying something out of a normal pdf document. The creator of the document enabled to copy content, so that´s not the problem. But if i ctrl+v something into word it looks like this 􀀪􀁈􀁑􀁈􀁕􀁄􀁏􀀃􀀷􀁈􀁕􀁐􀁖􀀃􀁄􀁑􀁇􀀃􀀦􀁒􀁑􀁇􀁌􀁗􀁌􀁒􀁑􀁖, this should spell out "General Terms an Conditions". I´ve seen some people having the same problem, but their solution was to run a text recognition program. The odd thing here is that my colleague can copy, the same text out of the same pdf doc and it looks normal. How is that possible?

Looking for a solution without an text recognition program.

THX

Hi Johnbe,

Sorry for the delay in response.

As you are experiencing issue in copy and pasting the text from PDF to other format files like Word, is it an issue with a particular PDF?

Did you check if you can copy and paste text from other PDFs?

Please let us know the application version used by you currently. Take help of the steps provided here https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product-version.html

Also, share the OS version on the machine.

It would be helpful if you can share the document on which the issue occurs. To share the file, use the steps provided here https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-7161

Let us know if you need any help.

Regards,

Meenakshi

Hey meenakshin83966505,

thank you for your answer. I found a solution for my problem, the problem was that my colleague printed the PDF document as a PDF doc but with a converter named PDF24. I simply downloaded it straight from the website and that solved it.
