Correct recognized text not working

Hello,

Until yesterday, Acrobat worked fine for me when I used the Enhance Scan/Recognize Text tool. After doing that I went to the Correct Recognized Text tool to show all the suspects so I was able to change the wrong characters in every word.

Today, though, I can only make all the suspects appear, but with no possibility to edit them. The "Image" window appears gray and the "recognized as" window shows white but with no text in it even if there is a highlighted word in the original image. How can I get the missing feature back?
