Corrupted Acrobat application

I am suddenly having a terminal issue with Acrobat - the icon in the dock is a strange black & white color, and I get and "Application Quit Unexpectedly" dialog when I try to open it, although it's not open to begin with.  The b/w icon is also showing up on the Creative Cloud dashboard.  There seems to be no provision for uninstall/reinstall.  The odd thing is an InDesign document will "distill" and the PDF is there, but only viewable in the little file preview pane of the finder.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I tried the help section but no response.  All Mac software is up to date, and the other CC apps are fine.
