Create a link from Doc1 to open in a specific location in Doc2 AND a Bookmark from Doc2 back to spec

I have one MAIN PDF and numerous other PDFs.

I have to create links in the MAIN PDF to open a specific PDF and have the cursor go to a specific page and location on a page in the second document. The MAIN PDF remains open.

I KNOW HOW TO DO THE ABOVE.

What I am stuck at is the following:

Once I have the 2nd document open, I need to get back to the original link location by clicking in the 2nd PDF.  

In the MAIN PDF, I might have to click on ANOTHER link that will open a 3rd PDF while the 2nd PDF is open and I need a bookmark or link to click in the 3rd document to take me back to the correct PAGE and location on the page of the MAIN Document.

I have about 80 documents that need to follow this process.

Is there a way to do this in Acrobat?

I only seem to be able to create a bookmark in the 2nd or 3rd PDF that could open another copy of the MAIN PDF, but I can't get it to go to a specific page.

 

Any suggestions?

How does you create the link in the MAIN PDF?

Text in the original document is selected - using the Edit | Link feature.

Then, clicked the Actions tab and chose Go to Page in Another Document and have that page in view.

 

The issue is that the document that opens is a legal document, and cannot alter the contents of the legal document itself by placing a link in that document to take me back to the original document. 

 

Currently, there is a bookmark that goes back to Previous Document, but it doesn't go to the specific page and location on the page and it assumes that I have only that MAIN PDF open.  As soon as I click on several links in the MAIN PDF which opens multiple tabs, the Previous Document bookmark only goes back one tab at a time, not to the MAIN PDF.  I do not see in Bookmarks where I can have it go back to the open MAIN document to that same page and location on that page.

 

Any ideas?  Is there a macro that can be added to the bookmark to go back to a specific page/location in the MAIN?
