Question

Create Enhanced PDF from Web Page does not create a Tagged PDF

When Creating a PDF from a Web Page using the Enhanced engine, the resulting PDF is untagged, and thus inaccessible.

When using the Classic engine it results in a Tagged PDF, but Alt-text for images does not convert.

This sounds frustrating - and I can’t locate any documentation from Adobe on the Enhanced engine?

That page contains no information on the difference between the Conversion Engine options of ‘Enhanced’ or ‘Classic’

Selecting Enhanced disables access to the Conversion settings.

Enhanced seems to be more capable than the old capture tool - but inserts browser style time & date + page title information at the top of the captured page, and url + page number at the bottom of the captured page.

There seems to be no settings to disable that - and no easy single step tool to remove them.  They are not in the header or footer either, so that tool is not an option.

In short, Adobe appear to have updated this functionality with no messaging, no update to the documentation, and have created a poorer tool rather than a better tool.

Hi Joseph5CBC,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble caused.

Please let us know the workflow you are looking for. More information on what you are trying here.

It would be helpful if you could share the screen recording of both the workflows you mentioned above, showing what happens.

We will check and share the correct information.
