Create Expandable text fields in Acrobat DC

Currently this is a feature being considered by Adobe... but we need to upvote it in order for Adobe Softwear engeneers to understand how BASIC and important it is for Form users to have expaning fields!

Not really, no. You can use a script to try and calculate the width of the text and adjust the field's dimensions based on it, but unless you use a mono-space font, that's very difficult. And even if you manage, when you expand the field it won't "re-flow" the rest of the page's contents...
