Question

Create PDF from Word (Mac version) file causes error

I get the following error on some Word (for Mac) files. Two rounds of "chat" with tech support has given me NO fix for this.  Does anyone have any solution to creating my PDF when this error occurs? I'm trying to preserve hyperlinks and cross-references within the Word file, so "print to PDF" doesn't work and "Save as" doesn't work because the Word file is 199MB large and you can only "Save as" PDF from a file that is 40MB or smaller.

Acrobat PDF Conversion could not be completed. This could be due to a network error or if there is no valid Acrobat online service membership.

Hi Zaphron,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Are you still experiencing the issue while creating the PDF from word file?

As you are trying to preserve hyperlinks when creating PDF from Word file, you can check the box for "Add links" to in the Preferences window. Refer the steps mentioned below:

- Open the Word file, and go to Acrobat ribbon at the top menu bar.

- Click on Acrobat and select Preferences option display below the menu bar.

- In the Preference window, check the box for Add links.

- Then click OK to save settings at the bottom.

- Then click on Create PDF option under the Acrobat ribbon.

Check if that works for you.

Make sure that you are using the latest version of the Adobe application.

Also, try to create PDF online here https://cloud.acrobat.com/

Let us know if you have any questions or need any help.

Regards,
