Create/Save as pdf without launching Acrobat app

Is it possible to save files (emails & webpages) as pdfs without launching (ie opening) the acrobat app?

I recall that I used to be able to save as a pdf by creating/saving the pdf to a folder and Acrobat would not open, the file would simply be saved as a pdf into whatever folder it was saved to without also launching the app.

Yes, you can do this by using the built-in "Print to PDF" feature in Windows or macOS. Just select "Microsoft Print to PDF" (Windows) or "Save as PDF" (Mac) from the print menu Carxstreetapk, and it will save the file without opening Acrobat.

When I use the feature of "Print to PDF" it saves to the folder but also launches Adobe and opens the PDF in Adobe automatically.

It used to operate normally without opening the PDF in Adobe, but now it launches the program. No luck so far reversing this feature, but thanks for your reply.

Do you have "Save As PDF"? That does not use the Adobe PDF printer. Try opening the Adobe PDF Printer preferences from the printers in the control panel and unchecking this box:

Right-click the web page and select Print. Select Save As PDF from the destination dropdown. Click Print.

Right-clicking the page itself does not offer a "print" option. Right-clicking the page itself offers "save as" with options for webpage complete, webpage HTML, and text files, but no option for PDF.

In Brave and Chrome web browsers, right-click has Print option. In Edge, no print option, but Ctrl + P will bring up the print dialog, which has Save As PDF as an option in the printer dropdown.

Yes, you can save emails and webpages as PDFs without launching the Acrobat app. Please follow these steps:

Open the email or webpage you want to save as a PDF.
Go to Print by selecting the print option from your browser or email client.
Choose "Adobe PDF" from the list of available printers in the printer dropdown menu.
Click "OK" or "Print", and you’ll be prompted to select a location to save the PDF.
Save the file, and your document will be converted into a PDF without needing to open Acrobat.

Note: You must have Adobe PDF printer installed on your device.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

This is what I've always done--and am doing, but....

Now instead of the file being "printed"/saved in the folder without Adobe launching, Adobe launches everytime. No idea why this occuring as I did not make any changes to any settings.

So yes, I am doing as you instructed, but a small pop-up window appears after I print/save to folder that announces "creating pdf," the file is saved into the folder, and then Adobe launches with the file opened in Adobe.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions about how to disable this unfortunate development.
