Question

Creating a document to sign on a tablet and locking fields

I am having trouble finding my exact issue on here. I am trying to make an inspection log of sorts that require all fields to be filled in and a signature at the end. When I create the document and send it to the tablet that is to be used to sign (It is a samsung tab A 2019), the file works, but the field requiring the signature disapears.

Is there a way to make this work correctly and also still have the signature lock the fields in place?

Thank you in advance!

Hi Dustin,

We are sorry for the trouble. As described the the PDF form fields are working in the tablet however the signature field is not working.

What is the workflow/steps you are doing to send the PDF form to Tablet? Are you sending it as email attachment or via Fill and Sign tool > Request for signature?

There are couple of things that you can try:

  1. Try saving the PDF as Reader Extended. open the PDF in Acrobat DC on your computer > Go to File > Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable more tools (Include form fill in & Save) and then try sending it to tablet and try signing the PDF on tablet.
  2. Try sending the PDF form for signature using Fill & Sign tool. Open the PDF > Tools > Fill & Sign > Request signature. For more information please look at the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/using/send-for-signature.html#Continuous

Hope this information will help

Amal

That did work, however is there any way to make it work in the reader on the tablet? Or is there a way to send multiple forms at once with fill and sign?

The basic set up I am going for is to have these blank documents readily available on the tablet that can be filled out and submitted when needed daily. One of the main forms is an inspection log that would need to be sent to 50 locations, with fill and sign, it looks as though I would need to send those daily and one by one which would be a waste of time. Another form needed is a training sign off form that is used sporatically so I would not know when that form would need sent.

Any suggestions on how to make that work?

Thank you so much Amal! I appreciate the help.

Hi there,

We are sorry for the delay in response.

The option to send multiple forms at once (Mega sign) is available in enterprise/business level account of Acrobat DC. for more information pleae look at help page https://helpx.adobe.com/sign/using/mega-sign.html

With Individual account of Acrobat DC you need to create a submit button with an action send back the form to your email address.

In that way, you can send PDF link or the PDF directly to multiple people. Once they fill and click the submit button, you will receive the form in your email account.

Please look at the help page listed below:

Hope this isnformation will help.

Amal

Try the Fill & Sign app.
