Creating a pdf from a word file with inserted svg images that is searchable

Question

I am taking a graph created in Powerpoint and saving it as an svg file. Then I am inserting it into my word document. When I save the word document as a pdf, the image is no longer searchable. I have a coworker using a MAC that is able to do this but on my PC, it isn't working. Is there an option I am missing in these steps to allow me to do this?

Please ensure you have selected the correct settings in the preferences window when creating a PDF from a Word file. In the MS Word application, click on the Acrobat ribbon > Preferences. Check the options selected in the window. Try changing the settings. You may also refer to the information in the following help document: https://adobe.ly/46lTvAB.
