Creating a TOC from multiple PDFs

I have a lot of datasheets that were created in word and exported to PDF.  I want to create a table of contents and pull the name of the product (maybe through a tag created in each PDF) and then have the TOC generate automatically with the assoicated page number.   Unfortunately the way we do now is just add PDFs and then have to manually change the TOC and then all the page numbers at the bottom of each PDF for the entire docutment.  There are about 125 pages and it's very time consuming.  I assume there is something the Adobe can help and was thinking that Tags or a document information can help automate.

Thank you in advance.

There's no built-in command in Acrobat that can do that. Even creating a TOC in a single file (based off of bookmarks, for example) requires using a custom-made script, like this (paid-for) tool I've developed:

If you want a TOC that contains links to external files that's even more complicated, but I think I will be able to do it for you. You can contact me privately via PM to discuss it further.
