Question

Creating forms with Acrobat DC of Word PDFs: radio buttons for German ja/nein fields?

Hi,
I am editing a word file to create a PDF form. After exporting it with Acrobat PDF Maker into a simple PDF, I convert it into a form within Acrobat DC.

But these yes/no – ja/nein fields should be radio buttons instead of check boxes!

Problem: it's a German document with "ja" and "nein" – these German labels are mistakenly recognized by Acrobat as check boxes and not as radio buttons if it would have the English Labels "yes" and "no" 😞

Let me guess: there is no option/solution/workaround/... for it?

Thanks,

mycc

Auto-Field Detection is far from perfect. A lot of fixup is always necessary. Not sometimes, always. Just replace the checkboxes with radio buttons. Its not a difficult task.

Of course not difficult – but a lot of work.

But, ah, I remember a javascript which does that automatically. I just need to find it again ... here somewhere in the forum ...

... not not now.

Thanks for your reply.
