creating mutiple files to pdf keep getting errors

I have the current version of Acrobat PRO am trying to combine mutiple TIF files to a singular PDF I can't even get to the first file before it says it cannot convert it. 

No I don't have the settings set to portfolio.  HELP!!!!!

Can you use Acrobat to convert a SINGLE TIFF file to PDF? Does that work ok? If not, what is the error message?

No not even one file I even tried converting the Tif file to a JPEG that didn't work either.  I even tried uninstalling the software and reinstalling it.

The error message says this file can not be converted please remove it from the list and continue.
