Currency format changing when sending file for signature

I have formatted for currency with two decimal places on a form in Acrobat.  The problem is when I sent the document for signature it removes all the formatting ($ 5,000.00 becomes 50000) in that field.  I've looked at all of the properties and they seem to be set up correctly.
