Cursor jumps to a different location for unknown reason

I'm not even sure how to describe this.

I have a form with several text fields up front. When I make a change to any of the text fields the curson jumps  to another field further down in the form. The tab order is correct. The only thing I can see is that the cursor winds up in the first calculated field. (Calculated through javascript.)

Any thoughts on where to look?

Thanks

OK. It's happening because there are errors in your code. Check the JS Console after updating the value of a field.

Sorry, actually the error is not related to why it's jumping to the "FHJC Member" field. It's happening because you're doing it yourself in the last line of the calculation code of the "Refer Friend" field, by invoking the setFocus method of that field.

However, the error should be corrected for the file to work properly.

Let me add to that - when I make a change to the text field, and try to move to another text field, either via mouse or TAB, the cursos makes its wild jump.

Can you share the actual file with us?

You can attach it to the original message using the tiny paperclip icon at the bottom when you edit it, or upload it to a file-sharing website (like Dropbox, Google Drive, Adobe Cloud, etc.), generate a share link and then post it here.

Also, what version of Acrobat are you using, and on what OS?
