Question

Custom Stamp image file types not found, only PDF?

When trying to create a custom stamp, the file browser window only allows browsing for PDF files. Unless I'm mistaken, stamps are typically created from image files, not PDFs...  See attached screenshot for the custom stamp file browser view I'm describing.  How can I choose an image file to create a custom stamp instead of PDF file?   (I'm on Windows 10.)

This is a limitation of Acrobat Reader.

Acrobat Pro/Standard lets you choose from standard image formats (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, etc).

Actually, stamps are PDF files. An image that is used to create a stamp has to be converted to PDF.

Since you're only seeing PDFs as an option, you must be using Reader. Reader cannot covert images to PDF, thereforem it is limited to PDFs as the stamp image.

BTW: I like prefer converting word files to PDF for my stamps. Word uses vector graphics, which are scalable. InDesign and Illustrator work the same way, but Word is easy and available to most people.
