I am having a challenge with deeds which are signed in blue ink by our clients. I need to darken the signatures before I send them for e-recording. I've been using the "enhance" feature, but it's not good enough.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

If you are working with a Scanned Document, please try the below steps and see if that works:

1. Adjusting Scan setting:

  • Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat.
  • Go to Edit > Scan & OCR and select Enhance Scans.
  • Choose Adjust Enhancement Level, then increase the contrast to darken the signatures. For more info please check the help page https://adobe.ly/4ikfYAr

2. Using Edit tool, if the signature is recognized as an image.

  • Open the Edit PDF tool.
  • Select the signature area > Edit Image and try adjusting the opacity or contrast For more info. please take help from https://adobe.ly/4i2zPEH

Note: If the file is an actual signed document by the user and not a scanned file, editing would not be allowed, as the PDFs get locked for editing once the document gets signed.

Hope this information will help.
